COMMON QUESTIONS
Integrations questions, answered
OAuth is the standard authentication protocol used by Google, Stripe, and most modern services. You log into the provider directly, then grant Incremenza specific permissions. Incremenza never sees your password — we only get a temporary token. You can revoke access at any time from your provider's settings.
Read-only for most integrations. We request only the permissions needed for the data we display. Stripe, Square, PayPal, Plaid, and bank connections are all read-only — Incremenza cannot move money or modify your data on those platforms. QuickBooks is the exception: it has a write-back feature for transaction reconciliation, which you can disable in settings.
Yes. Disconnecting an integration stops new data from syncing but preserves all historical data Incremenza has already pulled. You can reconnect later and the sync resumes from where it left off. Historical transaction data remains accessible until you close your account, regardless of integration status.
